Overview
In an effort to move away from an under-performing dashboard and create a more user-centric UI that encouraged relevant activities based on previous actions by the customer, the product design team was tasked with creating a new logged in experience.

This effort was split between myself (the UX Lead) and another product designer. My contribution was the flexible and dynamic card-based content within the other designer’s navigational framework.

About the Company
Rocket Lawyer is a platform for consumers and small businesses to solve and manage their legal problems with DIY legal documents and quick access to legal advice from lawyers. The company’s mission is to make the law affordable and accessible to everyone.
Business Goal of the product
Get users to do more on our platform. By improving engagement rates, we would also impact the lifetime value of our customers.
Sketches and ideation
To understand the problem to be solved, it helps to know the types of activity users can do on Rocket Lawyer:
Create a document
Ask a lawyer
Incorporate your business
Early in my process I gathered the other product designers and ran a sketching exercise to get their perspective of what information, at a high level, a user needs to understand about their activity at Rocket Lawyer and what actions they might need to take. I used index cards to force them to think of how to display this information in a card format.
